- Your account can be closed, and your data deleted, by writing to info@shastradigest.com.
- Editorial content is copyrighted; quote briefly with attribution, do not republish or use for AI training without permission.
- Nothing on the site is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice.
- Grievances: written acknowledgement within 48 hours, resolution within 30 days (see Grievance Officer below).
- Governing law: India; courts of Delhi, subject to non-waivable local consumer rights.

Shastra Digest is a digital magazine of essays, audio editions, daily practices, and community writing, operated by Uccult Publishing House, a unit of Uccult Media Tech Private Limited ("we", "us"), Delhi, India. The service is offered worldwide; content is currently published in English, with further languages planned. By using the site you accept these terms.
Accounts
You must provide a valid email address and keep your password safe; you are responsible for activity under your account. You may close your account at any time by writing to info@shastradigest.com.
Free reading and paid membership
Open essays are free to read. Metered essays are free within a monthly allowance. Premium essays and features require a paid membership once memberships open.
When paid plans are active: prices are shown at checkout and processed by Razorpay; subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled; you can pause, resume, or cancel from your account page, effective at the end of the paid period. Refunds for duplicate or erroneous charges are honoured - write to info@shastradigest.com with the payment reference.
Our content
Essays, audio, design, and other editorial material are the property of Uccult Publishing House, a unit of Uccult Media Tech Private Limited or its contributors and are protected by copyright. You may read, save, and share links freely; you may quote brief passages with attribution and a link. Republishing full essays, or using the content to train machine-learning models, requires written permission (see /llms.txt for the machine-readable policy).
Your content
Subscriber notes, support messages, and contributor essays remain yours. By posting, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive licence to host, display, and distribute that content as part of the service. Contributor essays go through editorial review; we may decline or remove content that breaches these terms.
Do not post content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, infringing, or spam. We may remove such content and suspend the account responsible.
Not professional advice
Shastra Digest publishes contemplative and editorial writing about spiritual practice, wellbeing, and sacred texts. Nothing on the site is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice. Practices are undertaken at your own judgement; consult a qualified professional for health concerns.
Service changes and availability
We aim for dependable availability but the service is provided "as is", without warranty of uninterrupted operation. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features; if a paid feature is permanently discontinued, affected members receive a pro-rata remedy.
Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for claims arising from the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Grievance redressal
The designated Grievance Officer for Shastra Digest (Uccult Publishing House, a unit of Uccult Media Tech Private Limited) can be reached at info@shastradigest.com with the subject line "Grievance". Complaints are acknowledged within 48 hours and resolved within 30 days, in line with the Consumer Protection (E-Commerce) Rules, 2020 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023. If you are not satisfied with the resolution of a data-protection grievance, you may escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts of Delhi, India have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any non-waivable consumer rights in your country of residence.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; material changes will be noted here and, for account holders, by email. Continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms. Last updated 12 July 2026.
